On July 7th. I was just outside Portage La Prairie going east on my way back to Winnipeg when I hit something hard on the road. This caused the tire to go flat on my boss's van. Luckily I was just at the Shell station and pulled in when I realized I had a flat tire. I jacked up the van and took the damaged tire off and found the spare underneath the van. I lay underneath the jacked up van looking up at the spare tire and could not figure how to remove the spare tire. I could have looked for the owners manual but instead went into the Shell station were I saw Bill and stated my problem. Bill immediately called someone from the back to come and cover for him while we went to the van. As soon as Bill saw my van he said that his brother had had a van like mine. Bill whipped out his phone and called his brother who answered right away. He said there was a small port just above the bumper when the back doors are open. Just insert the pointed end of the tire iron into the slot and crank the tire down to the ground. Problem solved. Thank you Bill for your kind and eager assistance.
