Staff were helpful and I found what I was looking for.
This library is an excellent regional resource; one to be treasured. The staff are knowledgable, friendly and helpful. There is a suprising range of books in every genre, with new titles added regularly. There are numerous offerings in large print, a nice selection of titles for young adults, and a lovely children's section. Timely topics and books of seasonal interest get prominently displayed in a manner that encourages you to browse or expand your reading horizions. There are also themed displays of artifacts and memorabilia to catch your interest. I visit almost weekly to get my literary fix, and each visit is a treat. Well done!
Pretty nice collection. Seating could be a bit more comfy, and technology needs an update. Great programming for young and old. The film series aimed at adults are great addition, it allows some of us to pretend we are still hip and cool in our advancing years.
Seems to be a tonne of underutilized space near the front windows? This library is huge compared to other centes this size. it's half of an old Safeway! I think that maybe an evaluation of how to better utilize the space may be in order? Sounds to me like maybe the board is stuck in the 90's then? In any event, you have to have debit/credit services in a Public Library. Maybe the board should shop around a bit for a better price on debit machines? Even if it costs the library, the benefits that kids go home with books at the end of a night far outweighs any financial burden that this debit/credit issue may create. I'm certain the community would get behind a fundraising effort to bring the debit/credit ability to the PLPPL.Again, the benefits far outweigh the cost. How many kids have left your library in the past few years without books to take home because Mom & Dad pumped the last of the change in the parking meters? In any event, keep up the great work!
The kids area is poorly set up. More books should be displayed with the covers facing out and there should be more comfortable seating for parents reading to kids. They don't accept debit or credit either. The library is stuck in the 90s
