Location is central, restaurant/bar on site was convenient. Rooms were clean and quiet for the most part, not much you can do to stop the trains. Staff was friendly and nice.
We went to Altos for a late lunch and ordered off the menu. I ordered a breakfast, it came out as ordered and was as expected, no issues. The other person ordered the nachos. Something seemed off, but we couldn't quite put our finger on it. Eventually we settled on the chips being kind of stale. When we brought this up the staff comped the nachos on our bill, which was really nice. The service was great otherwise.
Very large place and I like the homey feel to it. Very friendly staff.I did not like the awkward locations of some of the places within the hotel, as an example the tavern is tucked away on the second floor in a corner. You would not know how to get there without asking a staff member or wandering around.I also did not like how dark the room was, as it made it hard to see in the common areas of the room
The stay was fantastic. The staff was attentive and friendly and accommodating of our requests. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Portage La Prairie area.
Always good service at the tavern. Wings and spinach dip are amazing!! Highly recommend
